David P. Schneider - Head Intern
David P Schneider is a recognized Advanced Actor-Combatant with the Society of American Fight Directors and has been training since 2001. He has choreographed violence for numerous shows around town, including Park Square’s August: Osage County, Tedious Brief’s Bard Fiction, Hamlet at Theatre in the Round, ‘Tis Pity She’s a Whore for Classical Actor’s Ensemble, Cromulent Shakespeare’s Hamlet, Richard III and Hunchback of Notre Dame, Hot ‘N’ Throbbing and Teach Me Tonight with 20% Theatre, and several fights for the MN Renaissance Festival. He appeared as a sword fighter in MN Opera’s Romeo and Juliet, and has performed around the twin cities since 2003 with numerous companies including Theatre in the Round, Classical Actor’s Ensemble, Six Elements Theatre, Flaneur Productions, Green T Productions, and Off Leash Area. Jess Cashion - Tiny, Mighty Intern
Jess is an 5'3" Advanced Actor Combatant with the Society of American Fight Directors and has been studying stage combat for over 3 years. In her undergraduate studies, she earned two degrees, one in athletic training and one in theatre. By May 2017, Jess will be a fresh graduate of Louisiana Tech University, where she has been earning her Master of Arts in Theatre. While at Tech, she was able to participate in a multitude of opportunities. Among them, she got to train with Mr. Mark Guinn in stage combat, work with him in his production of She Kills Monsters, and helped organize the 25th and 26th Annual Stage Combat Workshop at Louisiana Tech. Jess had the opportunity to meet both Mikes and the Minnesota Fight Family 3 years ago and is thrilled to work with them once more to bring YOU a fun weekend in Minneapolis!
Kate Lass is an Advanced Actor Combatant with the SAFD. Her training began at Columbia College Chicago, where she studied Theatre, with a minor in stage combat. She spends most of her time in Chicago, but you can see her fight work in Nashville on occasion as well. She was an intern earlier this year at the Winter Wonderland Workshop and is very excited to be joining the Brawl for the first time!
Joseph is an actor and fight choreographer in the Richmond, VA area. He is currently earning his Bachelors of Fine Arts in Theatre Performance from Virginia Commonwealth University. Along with being a proud member of the SAFD he is also certified by Fight Directors Canada (FDC),the British Academy of Stage and Screen Combat (BASSC), the Society of Australian Fight Directors, inc (SAFDi), and the Nordic Stage Fight Society (NSFS). In addition to his work in theatre he is also a fully licensed Emergency Medical Technician (EMT) and former volunteer with the Richmond Volunteer Rescue Squad.
