David P. Schneider - Intern Coordinator
David P Schneider is a recognized Advanced Actor-Combatant with the Society of American Fight Directors and has been training since 2001. He has choreographed violence for numerous shows around town, including Park Square’s August: Osage County, Tedious Brief’s Bard Fiction, Hamlet at Theatre in the Round, ‘Tis Pity She’s a Whore for Classical Actor’s Ensemble, Cromulent Shakespeare’s Hamlet, Richard III and Hunchback of Notre Dame, Hot ‘N’ Throbbing and Teach Me Tonight with 20% Theatre, and several fights for the MN Renaissance Festival. He appeared as a sword fighter in MN Opera’s Romeo and Juliet, and has performed around the twin cities since 2003 with numerous companies including Theatre in the Round, Classical Actor’s Ensemble, Six Elements Theatre, Flaneur Productions, Green T Productions, and Off Leash Area. Caitlin Cappitelli
Cat Cappitelli is a Midwestern based Advanced Actor Combatant who jumped head first into the world of stage combat after taking her first combat class in 2013. Cat has had the privilege of training at multiple regional workshops and been fortunate enough to train with instructors from around the world in attempt to hone her craft.
Nell Blackwoodson
Nell is an Advanced Actor/Combatant based in the Twin Cities, MN. She is an Associate Instructor for the independent stage combat school Art in Arms, LLC, which provides stage combat training in the form of SPTs and supplemental workshops year-round. She is also a perennial performer and sometimes choreographer for Combat Chess United - a stage combat focused sports entertainment performance. Nell has choreographed for Fearless Comedy Productions, Combat Chess United, and the Minnesota Renaissance Festival, and assisted choreographers Dave Schneider and FD Mike Lubke at Breck Performing Arts High School, Hamline University, and Southwest High School. She has assisted and been an intern at workshops from Alleghany Alley Fight to Winter Wonderland Workshop, with several more assistant and intern opportunities paused by the pandemic. By trade Nell is a licensed massage therapist specializing in athletic bodywork, and a folk dance teacher. She is interested in training, choreography, and teaching opportunities at home and elsewhere in stage combat, pedagogy, and intimacy for the stage.
McKenna Waldron
McKenna “Mac” Waldron is an actress, vocalist, dancer, and stage combatant graduating with her BFA in Musical Theatre from Shenandoah Conservatory in May of 2022. Hailing originally from Raleigh, she first started training under the instruction of C.T Jeff A.R Jones. She currently holds Intermediate Actor/Combatant status, and has begun dipping her toes into fight choreography; most recently working as fight director on student lead productions of REEFER MADNESS and LOVE’S LABOUR’S LOST. Her favorite weapon is Knife. She’s relocating to Brooklyn on June 1st, where she plans to continue studying stage combat, and start auditioning as a professional actor.
Kate Peters
Kate is excited to be back at Brawl! An alum of Indiana University, she moved to the Twin Cities about four years ago and jumped right into the local stage combat community. Kate enjoys assisting with long form classes at Art in Arms, performing in fight-based shows such as Human Combat Chess and The Continuing Adventures of John Blade, and has served as fight director for several shows at Lakeshore Players Theatre. When not wielding weapons, Kate can be found stage managing, playing TTRPGs, and chilling with her two fluffy cats.
